As the plans for Fire Station 31 progress, I hope that achieving a level of LEED Certification and using bird strike preventative glass will be considered. I realize there are limits on the money approved to build this facility. Some options can be used now that will save money on utilities in the long term.
I'd like to thank Councilmember Earl for his service. I appreciate the way he willingly agreed to fill a vacancy and has been very thorough in his research and thoughtful about his decisions.
