I appreciate everyone's work in trying to find a way to fund the needed city projects. Of the options proposed, I strongly support the option to bond just for the replacement of Station 31. Since there is already a tax increase taking effect, I think the proposal most likely to be understood and accepted by the voting public is the one that will be the least cost to them and the one that most clearly defines the purpose of the bond.

I did notice that on Council Member Stroud's list of projects, the sidewalks needed in spots between 700 E and State Street on 11000 S are not mentioned as a priority for as far out as the timeline is extended. In the past, I have submitted photos to show the area on the south side of the street that has only black paving and no curb and gutter, as well as a section west of the park on the closer to State Street that has no sidewalk on either side of the street. Crescent Elementary opened in 1981 and this area that is used to access the school and park still doesn't have safe sidewalks. The traffic is likely to increase as the Farnsworth Development is finished in addition to the Challenger traffic, and future housing next to Challenger. Please consider making 11000 S a priority for future funding.
