Amend Title 21, Chapter 19, Section 34 SD(R-1-30A) Bell Canyon Acres, of the Sandy Municipal Code
Hi members of City Council, I support the new amendment changes for Bell Canyon Acres. My family moved here in 1980 and we are now living in my childhood home. By supporting this amendment, I wish to further preserve Bell Canyon Acres' unique identity, refine requirements, give guidance to new and existing homeowners, and rescue horses and farm animals.
I support horse boarding at Bell Canyon Acres. I spent most of my childhood and early adulthood in 4H and grew up among horses. Horses have no other boarding options in and around this valley, as neighbors pointed out in meetings I personally attended. We, as a community, have the unique opportunity to save them, care for them, and love them. Since the animals are voiceless in all situations, meetings, and court battles, I shall speak for them.
Please vote in favor of this amendment for the horses, farm animals, and for those residents who cherish Bell Canyon Acres, honor its history, and are proud to call this home. K
