I am opposed to the One Ten Development for two reasons. The first is that the traffic in the area is horrendous, especially on the weekend when cars park on both sides of the road from Costco towards Sheels. I spoke with Brittney Ward several weeks ago and she said a more detailed traffic study was needed. Has it been completed? It also appears that the traffic rate is mainly considered during M-F business hours. The issue here is mainly on the weekends. I am also very concerned about any children who might live in this community. They would need to cross State Street to get to Crescent Elementary, which would require two crossing guards. There is a significant amount of the south side of 11000 S that doesn't have sidewalks and students walking on that side would have traffic approaching them from behind. There is one small place where there isn't sidewalk on either side of the street. If children have to use the north side of 11000 so they are facing approaching cars and the side with more sidewalk, they have to cross 11000 twice, once to get to the north side, then once to get to the school's approach on the south side.
